Where little stars learn to shine. Our family-run Barnsley setting provides warm, personal childcare for babies, toddlers, preschool children and children aged 5+ during the school holidays. Through caring relationships, purposeful play and exciting everyday experiences, we help every child grow in confidence, independence, curiosity and friendship while feeling safe, included and truly known.

Shiningstars Daycare is a family-run, close-knit childcare setting in Barnsley where every child is welcomed, known and encouraged to shine in their own way.
We believe excellent childcare begins with strong, trusting relationships. Our team takes time to understand each child's personality, interests, routines and individual needs, helping them feel secure and giving parents genuine confidence in the care they receive.
Learning is woven into everyday play through stories, sensory experiences, creativity, movement, outdoor exploration and warm conversations. Children are encouraged to be curious, make choices, build friendships and develop the confidence and independence they need for their next steps.
Our rooms support children throughout their early years, from the nurturing Twinkle Room and lively Ikkle Stars through to preschool learning in Big Stars. Our Holiday Club and HAF provision then allow older children to remain part of the Shiningstars family during school holidays.
Parents and carers are an important part of our community. We value open communication, helpful daily handovers and working together so that home and nursery provide consistent support for every child.

Healthy holidays for ages 4-12
Shiningstars HAF Club.
Our Holiday Activities and Food programme offers eligible children a safe, welcoming and exciting place to enjoy their school holidays, make friends and try something new.
Free eligible holiday places
HAF places are available for eligible children aged 4-12 who qualify through free school meals or pupil premium. Sessions include varied activities alongside healthy meals and snacks.
